I think I have a new favourite author / illustrator in Stian Hole - what glorious illustrations. How sensitively he deals with emotions and feelings, in this case fear. Looking at it from the perspective of a child, his parents and his 3 very old aunts. And how wonderful to see older people in picture books not just as cuddly grandparents but real people with real emotions.
