The Lady of the Lake by Andrzej Sapkowski
2.0
I am not quick to write a bad review but I'm so disappointed by this series.
I am so sad to have to give a bad review to a world that is crafted in such beautiful detail. The attention to the lore is amazing.
But sadly the story is a boring mess. I got pulled in by two very strong books full of action and amazing short stories. But when the actual "story" began I quickly realised that there's actually no story to be found in the Witcher series.
The Witcher is filled with heaps of dull pointless conversation between a ridiculous amount of characters. While the main cast does nothing else then complain and run around to find ciri who also does nothing else besides running away from something that after 7 books is still not clear to me.
I expected at least for this to go somewhere in the end but the ending is even less satisfying than the rest of the books combined.
This should have been max three books and even then it probably would have been too long.
I wished the writer stayed at short stories because those were absolutely perfect.
