This felt a lot like watching the first season of the show. Almost everything was in there, but of course, HBO filled it in with extra stuff (for the better).

All the characters were cast perfectly, and nowadays, that rarely happens. I'm so glad they stuck with the characteristics that were described in the books. It made it easy to imagine them as I read.

It would have been better had I not had to read the scene of Sookie losing her virginity to Bill. It gave me severe ick. Iykyk.

I haven't decided if I'll continue with the series yet.
