When We Were on Fire: A Memoir of Consuming Faith, Tangled Love, and Starting Over by Addie Zierman

4.0

From the dates in the book, Addie is a year younger than me, so all of this hit home pretty hard. It could be my story, minus the boys. The hurt we carry around from evangelical expectations looks large, and it's hard and strange to work through. Knowing the author found a way to stick with Jesus through it all makes me smile.
