The Angel by Tiffany Reisz

5.0

Okay. Okay. So, I received an ARC of this baby from the super badass author herself. I was gonna spend a month writing the perfect review that would just make Tiffany cry and everyone reading this like, "Fuck yeah, I'm buying this kinky ass novel and reading it so hard I get papercut."

That failed. But only because I couldn't find the right words. (Not really, just didn't write it due to being lazy and struggling with my own novel)

Anyway, The Angel by Tiffany Reisz. I can't tell you how amazing this story is to me. I would like to point out that there is a GAY couple in this novel published from a very BIG, hardcore publisher. That is a BIG step in which I am forever grateful to the courageous Reisz.

Here's the summary of the novel so you aren't like, "This is the most poorly written review ever."

"No safe word can protect the heart
Infamous erotica author and accomplished dominatrix Nora Sutherlin is doing something utterly out of character: hiding. While her longtime lover, Søren—whose fetishes, if exposed, would be his ruin—is under scrutiny pending a major promotion, Nora's lying low and away from temptation in the lap of luxury.

Her host, the wealthy and uninhibited Griffin Fiske, is thrilled to have Nora stay at his country estate, especially once he meets her traveling companion. Young, inexperienced and angelically beautiful, Michael has become Nora's protégé, and this summer with Griffin is going to be his training, where the hazing never ends.

But while her flesh is willing, Nora's mind is wandering. To thoughts of Søren, her master, under investigation by a journalist with an ax to grind. And to another man from Nora's past, whose hold on her is less bruising, but whose secrets are no less painful. It's a summer that will prove the old adage: love hurts."

Is that completely blissful or what?

So, review time from your favorite underage shit head doing things I probably shouldn't do. Oh well.

The Angel is a brilliantly and cleverly written novel just as Book 1 in the Original Sinner series, The Siren. Tiffany has a unique writing style that doesn't leave you twiddling you thumbs or skipping pages because nothing important is going on. She keeps a quick and enticing pace with POV changes to keep you on your toes.

Tiffany's writing style is something on it's own. She can write one sentence... and it can be so powerful you cry, laugh, snort, or giggle. She can also write a paragraph the size of your head and tell you just as much. THIS IS SOMEONE GOOD AT THEIR CRAFT.

Back to the book. There are parts in this novel where you just wanna scream... just scream where you're sitting just because you have so many emotions and thoughts buzzing through your head.

See, Jimmy is doing it.

The Angel is the kind of novel that only some people can read based on how intense it is. It's a mind fucker. It fucks people's minds. (Mean Girls quote - you're welcome)

Actually, TIFFANY is a mindfucker. She fucks people's minds. With a crop... and spiked high heels.

The depth of the characters makes them almost real, like Michael lives just around the corner. Nora, typing furiously on her keyboard by day and strapped to a St. Andrews Cross while Soren (I wish I could do the Ø thing) snaps a cane against her as at night, the next block down. These people are real.

Tiffany is rocking the charts.

She has become an inspiration to me and I will be screaming from the sidelines as she ricochets UP the best sellers list and gets her crop with "BDSM EROTICA QUEEN" stitched on the side.

I love her and all her characters... Photobucket

If you don't join this party bus, you'll be left on the side of the road lookin' like a hookeh. ;)
