I had this book as assigned reading when I was in Year 11 of school, but of course never read it properly, so when I saw it in the local library I thought I should give it another chance. I'm glad I did. I enjoyed watching the main character, Amir, grow and learn from his mistakes (eventually). It was also really interesting learning a little about the culture of 1970's Afghanistan.
