Oof. This was tough to read. Like any collection or anthology, some of the pieces were stronger than others in terms of writing, but every single one was devastating, and showed how harmful concepts of family and religion can sometimes be.
I think this is really important and would recommend it, but would also only recommend it if you have the capacity to read about the topics discussed as it was very very heavy. I would have liked to see some more recent stories and more diverse contributors (this limitation is acknowledged), but overall I think this was an important book.
