for some unknown divine reason, I felt like picking up this book. Because audiobooks are usually a drag to me, I tried reading something that I already knew I loved and the result was overtly positive.
Firstly, I got to hear how words from the Grishaverse are pronounced and found out I was calling Matthias wrong this whole time lol
The story didn't fail to absorve me one more time, I loved every second of this journey and Leigh Bardugo's writing and plot devices are genius. It flows well and even technical, action-packed scenes sound poetic.
I'd had that the narration was a bit cringe in the audiobook at times but nothing that one cannot get used to. Now I can't wait to see the events of this book reenacted in season 2 of Shadow & Bone.
