Daring and the Duke by Sarah MacLean
5.0
This book is one big grovel and I loved every minute of it! I will flag for new readers that although this is technically a standalone, you will get SO much more out of this book if you read the first two books in the series.
Grace thought she had met the love of her life amongst the terror of the Duke's home, but when Ewan betrays her and his half-brothers and sends them on the run, her heart breaks. Now she runs a ladies bordello and has crafted a life she loves, but without love in it. Ewan thinks the love of his life is dead. He has been baiting his brothers to try and find out where Grace is, a losing his mind that she might be gone. When he discovers she is alive, he will do whatever he can to get her back.
I could scream about this book for ages. I know some people will find Ewan unredeemable, but he really puts in the work during this book to show his true values and his love for Grace. You pair his fight with a pitch perfect badass MacLean Heroine and a world that is so fleshed out by book three, and I just want to dive right in and live there.
