Stugotz's Personal Record Book: The Real Winners and Losers in Sports by Jon "Stugotz" Weiner, Dan Stanczyk
funny
lighthearted
fast-paced
3.75
You have to be a Stugotz/Dan Le Batard Show fan to really get this book to its fullest. While I am not the biggest fan of the Stugotz character, Dan Stanczyk captures Stu's voice really well. The only problem is that you can tell when a take is definitely more Stanczyk than the Gotz, mostly when an argument is too coherent and lager words are being used.
I recommend reading this book a handful of "essays" at a time. Like the Stugotz character, it can get a bit long in the tooth in larger doses. Thankfully they bring in guests to post rebuttals to a decent amount of the essays, and those are the true shining moments of this book.
I debated on the rating of this book after finishing it, but settled at 3.75, which is probably me being a bit generous as a fan of the show. If you are a true Stugotz army member though, this will be a holy grail read for you.
