Midnight Temptation by L. Ann
4.0
So, it had been a while since I had read the first in this series and I was a little confused in the beginning. We definitely got dropped right back into where we were left in the first book, just from Deacon and Gemma's perspective. While I enjoyed this story, I felt like something was lacking. I'm not sure what it was and I know that's not fair to say. Maybe even more fire between Gemma and Deacon. It was almost as if she succumbed to him to soon after arriving back at the house after being raped and tortured by Damien. I did like that her wolf took over and supressed her memories. I liked the scene with Deacon and the white wolf. I also think it's curious that she accepted Deacon as her alpha but not Cormac. It is very clear that this story isn't finished and that it will continue in Cormac's book. Which I hope is already out so I can go ahead and download it.
