Insta-love done RIGHT!!!

Usually that is hands down my least favorite trope but Justin and Emma have so many challenges to overcome and SO much yearning despite the romance being immediate. I was so so impressed with the way Abby kept me so invested despite the two of them falling in love basically at first sight.

I dearly loved ✨Justin✨ who I am ranking up there with the best of romance book boyfriends like Gus Everett and Iwan. He is so refreshingly self aware and open to change! Loved him!!

I will say my favorite thing about this book was our MFC Emma and her journey to healing after a very traumatic childhood in the foster care system and time with her (awful) mother. My heart ached for her the WHOLE book and then just when I thought she couldn’t be a more sympathetic character, somehow her world imploded even further. I lovedddd that her healing journey did NOT rely on the romance, that she got real help and spent real time on herself. I hate when everything is fixed with a kiss and a hug, when that is not real.

Justin and Emma felt real!! 👏👏

I was so excited to read this book that I definitely didn’t realize that it was third in a series 🫠 But that’s okay! Intertwined standalone is how I would describe it and I don’t think I really missed out on anything without that prior knowledge! I definitely plan on going back to read the first two books!!
