Loved it! Loved it!! Absolutely loved it!!! Rhett and Lainey are just the best, and the suspense had me completely freaked out. After every chapter, I was left hanging, just like with any slow-burn romance. I was so on edge because I couldn't figure out what the suspense was all about. The tension kept me dreading the inevitable—their breaking apart.

Reading about how deeply in love they were in high school brought me to tears because I knew their breakup was coming. When the suspense was finally revealed, I was on the edge of my seat, teetering on the verge of tears. My heart hurt so much for Rhett, especially since everyone blamed him without knowing the whole truth. He deserved so much better during that difficult time.

I know they were all going through rough patches, but so was Rhett, and it was heartbreaking to see him suffer like that.
