Greater Good by Timothy Zahn
4.0
Greater Good was an interesting book that tends to be more thoughtful than action packed. It does present some issues that is many times present in the 2nd book of a trilogy. There were many plot points set up to be resolved in the final book. The cast of characters is a bit much as I found it times to recall who's who as many of them were not fleshed out enough to leave a lasting impression to last throughout the story.
Aside from that, and there seemingly to be less Thrawn in this entry, I enjoyed the book. As I implied above, it wasn't presented as many Star Wars books as it didn't have as much action. Instead dialogue, military tactics and Chiss Ascendency politics were more prevalent. I personally enjoyed digging deeper into their thought process and how the Chiss Ascendency operates. However, I understand that may not be a lot of people's cup of tea.
