It was a fun ride. I was a bit scare to be lost when I saw it was the #19 in a series, but honestly it didn't matter. Of course I didn't have the background of Joe, but his personal life didn't matter much to the story so not having read the previous one didn't matter. The story was entertaining, with a good plot and some social/environmental issues as well. Some characters, the bad ones mostly, had a bunch of stereotypes and some situation were a bit far fetch or no really «realistic», but nothing to ruin the fun. It's the kind of book my dad would love to read if he was more of a reader. Not the deepest novel or profound book, but a good action/adventure one that I enjoy the time I spend in it! I would be interest in reading more from C. J. Box after reading this one and I might try to start back with #1 and move on from the true beginning.
