A collection of poems that remind the reader there is freedom in letting go.  It reminds them that to be open is not a weakness, for it makes them stronger.

To be human is to be passionate and in control of that. The passion can exude love, but when pushed can also crackle like fire.  Because to be black is to encompass being bold, vulnerable, defiant and more.

We are reminded to be still in moments of frustration or we risk not learning the lesson. The author speaks through her heart to the reader in such a way that it invokes them to not only feel her words, but to also apply them.
