The Dutch House by Ann Patchett
5.0
Lovely writing: beautiful and consistent characterization, natural dialogue, really easy yet wonderful imagery - not overbearing or heavy-handed which can happen in describing houses in particular. Plot was fascinating ... some points felt a little drawn out, but always rounded out really well. Really enjoyed this book - is definitely a book that is hard to put down because you just want to know! Author does a good job at teases of information. I also enjoy nonlinear plots, so definitely contributes to the compulsion to quickly read.
