I couldn't put this down. C. L. Taylor has a knack for writing ordinary people into extraordinary situations, making characters easy to relate to while also endearing them to readers. This novel explores the theme of abusive relationships and the far-reaching effects they can have on a person's life and mental health. Add in the complex relationship between a mother and daughter and the secret life of a teen and you're in for a gripping read. This wasn't a difficult read and was very enjoyable!
