I loved this book when it was read to me as an elementary student, and I love it now that I'm a teacher. Bradley Chalkers' journey is endearing, funny, and poignant. It's both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Reading it as an adult, it struck an emotional chord in me that I wasn't expecting. A wonderful read.
