This "fictionalized" biography is informative on so many levels. The trials faced by so many young boys (and girls) are heart-rending. Seeing America's culture of prosperity, charity, and indifference through the eyes of a refugee is invaluable. The book doesn't offer wide-sweeping answers to any problems of war, diplacement, or relocation, but better informs the reader of the challenges.
