I had high hopes for this book but sadly it felt short. The Beauty and the Beast retelling part was a bit too on the nose for me along with the Little Red Riding Hood allusions. This book also read very YA to me which I tend not to enjoy. I also found our characters to be quite flat and the world underdeveloped.
