This one went on my list of new all-time favorite books. It’s about a young girl in Renaissance Italy, a coming-of-age novel as she married and discovers the life she thought she would live is not at all what she is presented with. A beautiful mesh of painting, poetry, and politics, it’s a great portrait of the time and a wonderful narrative that spoke to me. Love it!
