The House of My Mother by Shari Franke

dark emotional medium-paced

4.5

i have never watch any off the video's of the 8 passengers but I have followed the case ever since Ruby Franke was arrested. But to hear this story told by Shari herself gives her the agency back off the stories from her childhood.
The heartache I have felt was immense to know that 6 children grew up in such a world and there where so many signals yet nobody was capable or willing to do something.
The way that Shari also tells about the mental struggles he went to growing up in the eye of the camera and the scrutiny of her mother.

I listened to the audiobook and the strength that Shari had to read this story is amazing and it felt like she was there next to me telling me her story of survival.

I wish Shari and all the Franke's all the best and privacy in the world.
