Gigi and her weird plan o redeem her family's souls continues. Now it's poot Tavi's turn to feel the heat of THAT glare!
Tavi is living a way more complicated life than her family is aware of. Her whole influencer world is a sham and one she felt shoehorned into by her mother. Her real love - Chocolate! Now she's trying to save a Cocoa Farm in Costa Rica, save her soul and not kill her Grandmother in Tickled Pink - all at the same time! Then there is her crush on local plumber Dylan. Her charmed life is about to unravel at a rate of knots!
Dylan's reformed his bad boy ways and now he's the one everyone relies on. His FWB relationship with his best friend has ended and she's moved on and got married and is now pregnant. So he feels the need to move on too. He's drawn to Tavi - he can tell she's spinning more plates than she should be and hiding something from her family and he's determined to find out what.
Tavi had the epitome of an awkweird moment with Dylan and now she doesn't quite know to do with herself around him. I loved all the skullduggery she gets up too - it's very crafty! Dylan is the perfect pairing for her. My favourite scene in the book is quite near the end when he has a face-off with Gigi - it just gave me all the feels! As Tavi's double life unravels, she and Dylan just get bound closer together. I loved that Dylan just got her - didn't try to change her or make her feel less than.
He shores up her fragile self worth and she smoothes his edges and lets him see he's not that bad a guy.
They have chemistry of epic proportions and I loved meeting the inhabitants of Tickled Pink again. I must admit Lola and Carter have actually grown on me - I really do hope they get to have a HEA too!
