So I finally did it.. I read a court of thorns and roses! Lmao
I've wanted to read it for a while and thanks to @the_bookish_brit I read it much sooner than later! I'm not going to lie, going in I was pretty skeptical as I've heard a wide variety of reviews saying this book is really really good OR really really bad 💀 but now that I've read it I can say it's defiently not the latter!

"Be glad for your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don't feel anything at all."

From the get go I got huge Katniss Everdeen vibes from Feyre so I fell in love with her relatively quick, she's strong willed and moody but also so sympathetic and kind even when she's legit been kidnapped 😩
I loved the way that Feyre and Tamlin became friends first, platonic love has such a big spot in my heart so I love seeing platonic love blossom.
I also really can't wait to see more of Rhysand (okay yes he is a gloomy and cheeky brunette don't attack me I'm weak) but also how he acted at the end of the book literally gave me goosebumps! (a lot of the book did)

"I was as unburdened as a piece of dandelion fluff, and he was the wind that stirred me about the world."

I really loved the end trials and the tension in everything going on at that time like wowza. However, I felt the timing proportions were a bit off for the whole book, the beginning 100 pages felt very long and I took a while to get into the story but then the end was so fast I wanted more! Did anyone else feel like this or was it just me?

"Don't feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy."

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and characters. I do wish there was more diversity, like there's a lot of variety with hair colours... Yikes 💀 hopefully there will be more variety in books to come!

Sorry this review feels a bit all over the place 😭😂 but I did enjoy the book which is what matters and I've already ordered the second book!!
