Coming to the end

When I started reading this book, I hoped it would come full circle and I would get all the answers to this series. I'm afraid there is yet more to learn when you get to the end. This is the shadowman's and lyla's story. What she suffered over the years, how he became her shadow protector. It was upsetting to see her endure the life she had and how he kept her holding on for snippets of a future she may or may not get. It was intense and a good read, but I was annoyed not to get the answers I needed. So now I look forward to the next book in the series.
