This is the second book in the series and I liked it more than the first. Adored the MMC’s protective nature, as well as his possessive streak that kicked in as the story progressed; especially as his character arc developed growing respect for the FMC and her strength. The FMC was a fully developed autonomous person who had her own identity, not one lost to the relationship or the MMC.

I’ve read reviews that this series is formulaic book to book but if the author keeps crafting likable characters that exude strength with good character growth I’ll keep reading.
