Food Network Magazine The Big, Fun Kids Cookbook Sampler: 150+ Recipes for Young Chefs by Food Network Magazine, Maile Carpenter
5.0
This cookbook is super fun and cute!!! Almost every recipe has a picture and they are gorgeous - especially helpful for your toddler to help you choose what to make! Some recipes have pictures of the ingredients (for example, making chicken salad - there's so many varieties and the recipe has photos of optional mix ins (like they do in their magazine, if you you've ever picked up Food Network Magazine))
At the end of each section there's a fun little quiz, like identifying cereals, or close ups of foods.
The book is sprinkled with tips and facts to give the recipes just a little more fun and variety.
Lots of really fun recipes that most kids would love. Love the different takes on common foods - like the variations of ants on a log would provide endless fun for lunch sides/snacks.
It doesn't claim to be a vegetarian cookbook so I hold no points against this but found the dinner section super meat heavy. I found lots of other things in the other sections I could easily do or substitute though!
I love that it includes a whole section of the 'fake out cakes' - they look so amazing!
And the end includes some fun coloring pages.
