Exile and the Kingdom by Albert Camus
5.0
5/5
What does it mean to be? Am I an individual or do I exist through my community? And how absurd is it that life is just a series of making choices.
Jeez, Camus. I don’t know if there exists a kingdom in which we don’t feel exiled, but I guess that’s all we’re looking for at the end of the day.
If you’re considering reading this, I’d recommend waiting until after you’ve read his more popular works. I had to sit with each of the short stories and really think before moving onto the next.
Again I will say, I love you Albert Camus.
