Was expecting it to be a cheap cash grab and it was one.

The instalove was expected given the love but it was just boring af. The characters all felt 2D and there wasn't enough worldbuilding (or any) worldbuilding. It would get teased and then ripped away because I guess it would ruin the appeal of the books or something?? I know a third book is being written and I'll be shocked if the author doesn't use it as the basis for another cash grab.
Also the excessive slang was genuinely killing me inside. It was bearable since I listened to it as an audiobook but I would've been screaming if I had to read each word.

Final complaint: the prolific mentioning of 9/11?? LMFAO?? would come out of NOWHERE.
