What did I read? lmao
Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed in this one. I was looking forward to this and it was just, very meh overall. Did it keep my interest? Yeah, enough to keep me turning the pages and hoping for a real twist of some sort. But that never came, and a lot of the story was relatively predictable.
The writing was confusing for me at times. I was intrigued by the teenage flashbacks, but ultimately, they didn’t add much to the story for me. The “major reveal” of the book was predictable, and the ending felt rushed. I sat there after finishing and was like… that’s it?
Overall, pretty meh. Outside of the whole “I talk to dead people” thing (iykyk), it wasn’t all that shocking, creepy, or scary to me.
I don’t know what that says about me and my expectations from a horror book though
