I’m trying to figure out how I feel about the end. I like the overall message of the involvement of Candace and I also think that how the end was written made me really feel her kind of descending into a kind of madness… the paranoia and irrational thinking etc were really well done in my opinion. However I feel like the instagram account and the dressing in Athena’s clothes etc felt maybe a little like… scooby doo?? Idk, maybe something a bit more simple and less grand plot would’ve been a more satisfying conclusion - although I’m not sure how that would’ve been done and I think I understand and least partially why it was done how it was done. That being said, loved this book. Read it in one sitting. It was engaging and I felt really immersed in the world. The characters were all brilliantly flawed and frustrating and the whole thing felt very real (and taught me/made me realise a lot about the publishing industry!)
