Death on Tour by Janice Hamrick

5.0

I very rarely read in the car, since I am extremely prone to motion sickness. This book, however, was good enough that I risked it.

I had never heard of the author, but was intrigued that the book won a mystery award for best first novel, so I picked it up on a whim.

Joslyn Shore has taken the trip of a lifetime with her beautiful cousin in order to forget about her ex. She and her cousin resemble each other enough that they are repeatedly mistaken for sisters, though Joslyn feels sure she is the less attractive of the two.

Egypt would be more wonderful if strange and uncomfortable things didn't keep happening. One of the fellow tourists died. They later discover it was murder. A shop owner died later. Was it connected to the trip?
