The ending was so tender, and loving, and beautiful, I cried!!! Love is real!!!!!!! I felt like the structure of the book being their birthday from 13-18 was a really interesting choice, and for the most part worked really well for me, but I feel like a bit of characterization and plot was lost because obviously a lot happens in a year the we the reader are no seeing. However, just a really impactful read, that really has so much empathy and love for the main two characters, and such an insightful look into the life of a trans teen, with all the pain, and love tenderness that comes with that
