DNF at about 50%. This book was just profoundly boring. Even after something eventually "happened" at the end of year one, the mystery and intrigue were just not well-established enough to make me interested. This book was supposed to be creepy and mysterious, but it felt more like I was being told that it was that way rather than that I was being made to feel that way. I appreciated some of the aspects of it, there's a good undercurrent of feminism and sex positivity, but if you're going to do atmospheric creep without much plot, the writing needs to be tight and tense, and to my mind it wasn't.
