The Spite Before Christmas by Jessica Booth

5.0

If you would have told me I would've been into an older couple's love story, I don't know if I would have fully believed you. Especially if I knew there were some spicy moments, but here I am. And here for it. 🙌

52 year old Margie Murphy is flying solo, almost always has been, and that's just fine with her. She has her niece Lia and that's enough for her, in addition to her jam making and YouTube channel that is. So when she gets Frank Campbell for her new neighbor AND his obnoxious Christmas lawn display, she's done. She's too old to deal with this and frankly, he's old enough to know better. Their tension continues when they realize they're cosponsors of a town event and it includes a special competition for the two. Between battling it out, the two start to realize there's more to the other than just the bad. And Margie? Well, she just might have something to be thankful for this holiday season.

This was funny and romantic and I swear I picked it up and devoured like 200 pages to start. For the record, it's a little over 300. 🤣 That's how you know it's a good one, getting sucked in and not wanting to stop. I loved this second chance at finding happiness. ❤️
