It’s a Sarah Adams book, it would be a crime to give it anything less than 5 stars in my not so humble opinion.
No but in all seriousness I LOVED this book. I knew that if it was a companion book to The Cheat Sheet that it was going to be good, no great! I seriously love Derek and the bond he has with the team. It was so great reading the funny moments with those characters again.
Also I really commend Sarah for the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, like she said she tried to write it all very light hearted and she did. So in my mind I’m like did she need to? But also it made me love her that much more. Though I should mention there is one scene where they get sick, but honestly as someone who has emetophobia she wrote it in a way that was not triggering at all and I really appreciated that. (I mention this because it was not one of the trigger warnings.)
Also let’s talk chapter 34 (without any spoilers) for a second, in all of her books where there’s been that type of scene she never really went in detail, but this time she did and I feel like you could see her growth as a writer. Also I personally loved how she approached it because honestly I love more clean moments (lol this is me saying it in a way not to give spoilers)
If you are someone who is looking for a lighthearted, laugh out loud feel good rom com, stop reading my adhd rambles and go get this book. You’re welcome in advance.
