How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu
5.0
Great story about a climate plague. In 2030 an archeologist goes to the Arctic Circle, where his scientist daughter (now deceased) had been working on the permafrost. The permafrost is melting and revealing secrets from the past, including the remains of a young girl who has died from an ancient virus. But this story is much more than this. It's the story of the rippling effects that a devastating virus has on humanity...for generations. A story told from multiple voices, voices from the world. Readers who admired Station Eleven and Cloud Atlas will appreciate this debut novel.
