The Edge of Sleep by Willie Block, Jake Emanuel
4.0
This is going to be difficult to review, if for no other reason than I’ve recently listened to (most) of the original podcast and the new live action series of this story. So I’ll be needing to separate the three in my brain to review this
If you’ve never heard the TEoS story, I feel this is a really good go of the story. I enjoyed the fact that we had more than just Dave, Mateo, Katie and Linda’s perspective and we had additional information from people all around the world
The idea of dying in your sleep is something that you don’t think about until it’s thrown at you like this
If you’re going into this after only seeing the live action series, this will feel very familiar - just with some additions that I feel were very nice to have added
If you’ve come from the original podcast, this is going to feel a LOT different, but don’t feel this was a bad adaption of the story
