I didn't think anything could outdo Exodus in terms of pain. I was warned about this book, that it was heartwrenching in all the worst and best ways. I didn't believe it. I didn't think anything could top the months-long agony I have carried from Ravenhood.
I was absolutely wrong.
I have never cried so hard at a book, screamed for these characters, laughed at that ending... this was amazing. Absolutely and utterly amazing. The tie-in with Drive was spectacular and I didn't know I needed a very long, very drawn-out epilogue to Drive like this. Didn't know I needed to see what happened to all of them three decades later. And I'm so glad that Kate Stewart gave us this story.
I'm so glad she took the time to give the Bittersweet Symphony books a soundtrack to make all these moments memorable and hit you in the feels so much harder. I will have these soundtracks on repeat for the next few months.
