This was exquisite. It took a while to get going, but when it did—just, wow! It truly feels like reading The Iliad or any of the other great epics for the first time again. Beautiful prose, intricate layers of story-telling without getting too overwhelming, and some stunning character work. This should be a must-read for literally everyone.
