The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke
5.0
I absolutely found this book captivating - finished it in one sitting! (Good thing it was a Friday night haha)
Clarke writes effortlessly and her characters are wonderfully realised: flaws and all, making me entirely too emotionally invested in them.
While the pace was a bit slow, the story and characters were strong enough keep me interested and wanting to know more.
This is one of those books where I got anxious the closer I got to the end... I didn't want it to end! I wanted to know more, I wanted to know what was going to happen to Ananna and Naji, and I'm not gonna lie - I wanted Naji to kiss Ananna >_> *cough*
Gods... the ending near had me in tizzy. I'm so glad the second book is already out and I can't wait to start reading it!
