Lady of the Lake by Andrzej Sapkowski
1.0
This is not a good end; instead it’s an incomprehensible, overly long conclusion to the series with some completely pointless digressions. We still have to experience the author making up exposition characters to explain the garbled politics of the world, every single male character who isn’t Geralt wants to sexually assault every woman he sees, and the women are screechy and bad tempered. There’s a bizarre world hopping section at the beginning, an incredibly long battle with no major characters in the middle and a truly depressing conclusion to the war. Finally, there’s still a lot about how cool Ciri’s horse is. I’m only glad I was running a fever for the last few hours because wow, they dragged. Done. And done.
