I love this book despite its flaws and I think it might be my most re-read Katie Fforde book. It has a few too many separate stages and stray plot points and ideas that are seemingly irrelevant, and patrick himself when read objectively doesn't have much of a character. Despite all this the homeyness and family dynamics chram me. Plus I love reading about gardening.
