Slow pace but it's the protagonist's friend that I just didn't have patience for. I get it, the sexism and sexist roles were a thing that kept women bound as subservient to men, but I'm tired of the stories of women 60+ centering on this aspect. I hope the character has a fantastic turn around, maybe she offs the insufferable husband, but with no indication of anything like that happening, I just don't want to stick around to find out.
