My first foray into Milan’s writing and I am so so in love. I think it can be so hard with a novella to build a full story. A story with feels, butterflies, building that want and resolution in half the amount of pages. But wow she did it. Absolutely loved this story.

Our heroine wants something from the Duke of Claremont that he’s unwilling to give. He sends his man of business, a man known for his ruthlessness, to deal with her. The dialogue in this story has wonderful flow, it’s funny, it’s powerful.

I cannot wait to start The Duchess War. The scene setting up the series at the end of this book was so interesting and well done, I just can’t wait to dive in.
