A sprawling novel. 

Powers adresses questions regarding activism, extremism, climate change, science, trees, human relationships, regret, guilt, friendship, ..., ... . 

A magnificent read which gave me lots of food for thought, not least because it refuses simple answers in favour of ambiguity and layers (or should I say "branches"?).
