I actually reread all the Lunar Chronicles (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress) books leading up to this one because I wanted to have all the plotlines fresh in my head. I am glad that I did! I loved reading them all together, and I finished Cress two days before Winter was released. I will fully confess that I ignored all but the absolutely necessary to finish Winter in a 36-hour span. And it’s over 800 pages. The story moves quickly, although with all the build-up I found the ending just a little abrupt. But still, a fantastic ending to a superb series that I adore and love to recommend. It’s clean other than brief kissing and a few milder curse words, so I feel good about recommending for younger teens, but it’s just as absorbing for the older crowd!
