Black and Blue: A Memoir of Racism and Resilience by Veronica Gorrie
informative
sad
medium-paced
I enjoy a conversational style memoir that I think she really captured that feeling and made it an easy read. Some of the content was still quite hard to read but I think she managed to write honestly without creating a spectical of trauma. It was very interesting to read the perspective of someone who had been a police officer and come to believe in abolition.
