A Woman on the Goldfields: Recollections of Emily Skinner, 1854-1878 by Edward Duyker

informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

This book is terrific and strongly recommended to anyone who likes first person history. The author emigrated to Australia in 1854 and lived in the Victorian goldfields while her husband worked claims for 13 years.
The author writes clearly and with verve and the book is a pleasure to read.
